As a vet 👩‍⚕️ specialising in equine nutrition 🐴, I always recommend carrying out a forage analysis when drawing up a feeding plan.

Why? Because forage normally accounts for around 85% of total intake. In practical terms, this means that making a calculation without analysing the forage is like making a calculation with a margin of error of 85%. That’s not very reliable.
